Karenthia A. Barber is an acclaimed speaker, thought leader, consultant, strategist, and coach at the intersection of business, education, and politics. Over three decades, she has impacted 300,000 individuals and organizations. She is CEO of Professional Development Associates, LLC, an adjunct faculty member, and a Maryland Port Commissioner. She was the first woman to chair the Board of Trustees of Maryland Automobile Insurance, a $100 million insurance carrier. An alumna of the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University, Barber is a graduate of Leadership Maryland and Coach University. A trusted advisor to executives and public officials, she authored The Grown Folks Guide to AI: Making AI Easy, Useful, and Accessible for Real Life. Her honors include The Daily Record’s Maryland’s Top 100 Women (2022 and 2026 and Icon Honors award (2025).
