Welcome to the first ever IN THE STACKS! The REALLY COOL Open Mic is teaming up with Black Writer’s Pride to bring a lineup of hilarious Black comics to the Baltimore Book Festival! Cruise around the festival all day, then join us on Sunday, September 20 at 5 p.m. for an evening of hilarious local talent, featuring Baltimore’s most hilarious Black girls, gays and theys. Stick around after the showcase for a special book festival open mic! Our mic is reserved for black queer comics, but there’s plenty of room for everybody in the crowd. Doors open and list goes out at 5 p.m. Show starts at 5:15ish! This show is FREE — donations accepted at the door, go to the artists, and are appreciated! Enjoy vendors, Peabody Heights brews on tap and food truck fare on site.
